Old Mill Violins is dedicated to the support of stringed instrument students, advancing players, and music educators. We provide quality new and used violins, violas and cellos, bows, expert repairs, rentals, sheet music and other accessories for players and teachers.

VALERIO P. MONGILLO: Mr. Mongillo holds a B.A. in Music Education from the Hartt School of Music (University of Hartford). Val studied violin and viola with Stanley Eukers, Paul Bernard, Bernard Lurie and, most recently, with Kim Lehmann of Saco, Maine. Val was also a member of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra from 1976-1996 under the direction of Efrain Guigui and Kate Tamarkin. Val has played with several regional orchestras throughout northern New England and New York State, most recently with the Maine Chamber Ensemble under the direction of Peter Frewen and the Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Robert Lehmann. From 1982-1990, Val attended the Violin Craftsman Institute at the University of New Hampshire and in1990 he opened the Burlington Violin Shop in Burlington, Vermont with Roy Feldman. In 2004, he and Roy sold the business and Val, with his wife Debbie, moved to Kennebunk, Maine. Since then, Val has been doing some free lance playing. He also operated a musical stringed instrument repair shop at his home until July 2008 when he and Bill Dalbec opened Old Mill Violins, LLC, a full service violin shop selling, renting, and repairing violins, violas and cellos as well as providing area players with a wide selection of bows and accessories for stringed instruments.
